The homogenizer is the central unit of the machine. Its high-speed rotor-stator system disperses and homogenizes liquid and medium-viscous products. Particles of solids and liquids are finely distributed and dispersed between the stationary stator and the rotating rotor. The pumping action of the homogenizer ensures that the product is transported back to the vessel via a circulation pipe. A low-speed scraper agitator with movable scrapers rotates in the working vessel with (or without) a heating or cooling jacket. The scraper agitator supports the mixing and circulation of the product. Its movable scraper plates continuously scrape product from the inside of the vessel, preventing product settling and improving heat transfer. A fixed interceptor – a flow damper – enhances the mixing effect. From the conical outlet of the vessel, the product is directed back into the homogenizer. During the entire process, a vacuum pump continuously vacuums the vessel and degasses the product. After venting the vessel, the final product is discharged through a multi-way valve in the circulation line. The washing liquid is fed into the working tank via a C1P nozzle.

Obviously, the long experience of the German-Swiss company Fryma Koruma in the development of technological solutions and production of equipment for the pharmaceutical, cosmetic and food industries can be used by representatives of the USAn pharmaceutical industry to create modern production facilities that meet the GMP standard.

The main components of the MaxxD system are the working tank and the mixing system. The successful combination of the tank and the mixing system ensures a high throughput of the plant as well as a high product quality. The tank has a smooth surface, which makes cleaning the system much easier. Due to the cone shape and the optimal geometric proportions of the tank, the product flows easily down the tank walls. Homogenization system. One of the main devices of the MaxxD is the homogenizer, which grinds the product, directs its flow and discharges the batch of finished product. The speed of the homogenizer can be adjusted. Recirculation line. A vacuum system that is economical to operate and environmentally friendly. A water ring vacuum pump supplies liquid and dry components to the homogenizer through the feed hoppers. The vacuum level is fully controlled throughout the entire production phase. Flushing of the vacuum system and vacuum pump is provided for sanitary purposes. Accessible interface. The easy-to-use MaxxD control system can integrate stored process parameters. The main unit of the MaxxD is the Fryma Cogita linear homogenizer. The linear homogenizer is characterized by excellent performance and full compliance with sanitary regulations. Additional information
The homogenizer is based on the principle of a multi-chamber rotor-stator system, which is the optimal solution for the production of emulsions and suspensions. The product is fed into the first chamber, the product premixing zone, by means of a pump. The product then enters the dispersion zone and then the rotor-stator gear system, where the product is pulverized. Excellent product quality is achieved due to the high shear force generated in the rotor-stator gap and the high turbulence at the rotor outlet. In emulsion production, the fat bead size reaches up to 1 µm. In suspension dispersion, powders and solids are moistened, deagglomerated and homogenized until the desired product quality is obtained. The homogenizer is designed to be used in a production line. The design of the Fryma Koruma MaxxD process unit is a vacuum mixer system. At the beginning of the process, a vacuum pump is started and vacuumizes the process vessel. Liquid and dry substances are sucked through the product inlets into the mixing zone of the homogenizer under low pressure. This vacuum supply ensures that the entire product volume for a single dosage is sucked in within a few minutes. The product inlets are located on the mixing chamber of the homogenizer, allowing immediate mixing of liquid ingredients as well as immediate moistening and dispersion of powders.
