Glatt pendulum sieves are used for homogenization of dry, brittle and mechanically sensitive powders and granulates. In these sieves a gentler processing of the products is ensured. Depending on the product and the settings of this type of sieve, it has a capacity of up to 2 t/h. There are 20 different mesh sizes and wire thicknesses in this type of sieve. In the sieve, the suitable frequency of the oscillating rotor is infinitely adjustable. The product is dosed by a rotating drum with cells.

Technical specifications

The purpose of sieves is as follows: homogenization of wet and dry products, obtaining product particles of a given size; reducing the size of large particles to the desired size; grinding agglomerates of particles to the initial size; obtaining homogeneous granulates. The designs of the sieves may be varied. In the production of tablet dosage forms, the initial bulk solids are usually sieved by machines with a vibrating principle of action. The principle of action is that the weights located at different levels of the shaft, act as imbalances, as a result, the sieve makes circular oscillating movements in the vertical and horizontal planes. The sieve is sealed with a cover during operation. The finished product and the sieve go into different trays. The productivity of the sieve is 80-300 kg/h. Vibrating sieves are especially effective when sieving fine powders, as vibrating movements prevent clogging of the sieve fabric holes.

Rotary sieves are used for homogenization of dry raw materials and products. These sieves crush and grind agglomerates, lumps and pressed products to obtain grains with a specified maximum grain size. This is a new sieve model with an optimized body shape.
The previously used tapered sieve shape is no longer used, as this shape can lead to possible product hang-up. The body of the new sieve has a cylindrical shape along its entire length. Depending on the type of product to be processed, the capacity of this rotary sieve ranges from 20 kg/h to 5 t/h. GSF Glatt rotary sieves are used for wet powders and granulates after wet granulation, grinding and milling of stale product.
The bottom drive ensures unobstructed loading of the sieve with wet product.
