Table-top design of the granulator. At the base of the machine is the shaft of the electric motor on which the blades are mounted. The walls of the housing, into which the moistened powder is fed, are made of perforated steel. When rotating the blades squeeze (rub) the wet powder through the holes, the resulting granules can have the shape of a sphere or worms. The shape of the granules depends on the properties of the powder, humectant and binder. It is obligatory to consult us on the technology of powder preparation for granulation. Granulator: does not mix the powder; does not moisten the powder; does not mix the moistened powder; does not dry the granules; does not separate the granules into good and substandard; does not produce granules of the same shape size. The function of the granulator is to rub the moistened powder through the holes. It is simple and easy to check if the granulator is suitable for you. Prepare 1 kg of powder, moisten (having previously studied the theory and materials for moistening) to such an extent that the powder, when squeezed, leaves an imprint in the hand. Strong moistening will not form granules, neither will weak moistening. Strong moistening will require a longer drying time for the granules. ready for pelletizing. It is necessary to make a 400 x 400 mm frame out of wooden boards and nail a metal mesh on it. The thickness of the wire is not less than 0.5 mm, the mesh size is 2 mm by 2 mm. You put the moistened mass on the grid, with a plastic or steel spatula, wiping the powder through the grid with rubbing movements from side to side. In this way you will get samples of the granules. The quality of the granules depends on the combination of the substance that is moistened and the amount of this liquid in the mass of the powder.
