The Vial Visual Inspection Equipment is used in the pharmaceutical industry for visual inspection of ampoules, vials, cartridges, pre-filled syringes, etc. The products come from the filling system and line up on the inspection conveyor. The inspection machine has two independent control systems, a conveyor system and a rotary system. The conveyor system transfers the bottles to the rotating rollers and moves them forward on the conveyor. The rotor system controls the movement of the rollers, which respectively transfer the rotation to the bottles. The high rotational speed of the filled bottles lifts the macroparticles in the liquid. As the bottles pass through the darkened inspection booth in front of the operator, the concentrated beam of light from the halogen lighting system refracts off the particulate matter and causes it to glow like a small light bulb (Tyndall effect), making these particles easily visible. In addition, the inspection machine is equipped with mirrors and a magnifying lens that allow the operator to inspect the entire outer surface of the product so that micro-cracks and cosmetic defects can be detected in the bottom, flange or lid area. Products with defect are removed by an automatic rejection system, quality products and rejects are separated into different streams. This increases productivity and reduces operator workload. The equipment can be used to inspect ampoules, vials, pre-filled syringes, infusion vials, cartridges of any size between 0.5 and 1000 ml. Different types of products such as mixtures, antibiotics, suspensions, eye drops, freeze dried products can be checked. Several items can be checked at the same time: presence of solids in solutions, container defects, etc. By applying the Tyndall effect, impurities can be detected quickly and easily by intensifying the contrast of the impurity particles under a concentrated light beam. The adjustable cold light system in combination with mirrors and magnifying lens makes the work more efficient. Travel and rotation speeds are controlled separately and are variable. Color temperature, light intensity and lighting angle can be adjusted to optimize visual effects. The control system and touch screen provide a user-friendly interface.
