The required layer of plaster mass is achieved after 5-6 applications. Band-aid tapes are rewound on cardboard bobbins into rolls of 1 m and 5.2 m length using an unwinding machine, which are subsequently cut into spools of different sizes (1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 cm). Each coil is wrapped in waxed paper and placed in a cardboard box. In addition, leukoplasty is available in the form of small strips of different sizes on staple cloth cream-colored, covered with a protective layer of cellophane and placed in bags of 1 piece. Leukoplasty in strips is designed for a wide range of consumers. The quality of the patch is assessed by the following indicators: the uniformity of the smeared layer (one meter of the patch should have at least 120 g of leukomass), tear-off adhesiveness (at least 100 g/cm2), the acid number (32-37) and the proportion of zinc oxide (29-34%).

Bactericidal leukoplasty (Emplastrum adhaesivum bactericidum) is obtained by applying medicinal substances to the leukoplasty. Bactericidal leukoplasty consists of a gauze pad impregnated with antiseptic solution with the following composition: furacilin – 0.02%, syntomycin – 0.08%, brilliant green – 0.01% in 40% ethanol.
The impregnated pad is applied to the fixing leukoplasty tape. The patch is covered with a protective layer of starchy gauze and cellophane. The patch is available in different sizes. Bactericidal patch is an excellent means of preventing pustular skin diseases in case of skin microtraumas, it is convenient for first aid in the home, at work and in medical institutions.
