The lid of the reactor vessel is raised and lowered by means of a crosshead and hydraulic supports. Inside the reactor vessel there is an anchor-type agitator with blades along the vessel profile covering the entire useful surface. The agitator with blades rotates in the opposite direction to the rotation of the anchor agitator. The agitators are rotated by coaxial shafts using hydraulic motors. A turbine agitator rotated by an electric motor is also mounted in the reactor vessel. The presence of three stirrers provides good mixing and grinding of ointment components. The apparatus is discharged through a ball valve, the reactor body has a jacket to which hot water with temperature up to 95 ° C or cold water with temperature up to 12 ° C is supplied. The reactor has remote control.

Powerful agitators (anchor, planetary, propeller or frame agitators) capable of mixing in highly viscous media throughout the entire volume at various temperatures are used. Steam jacketed reactor is designed for mixing thick components with viscosity up to 200 Ns/cm2. The reactor has a body with a hemispherical bottom. The reactor body is closed with a convex lid, in which the feeding funnel, sight glass, valves, nozzles and connections for the introduction of various substances are mounted.
